KNOT CONFERENCE

The Knot Conference aimed to empower attendees to create change by revealing the connection between design and community.

The Knot Conference, an innovative design event hosted by the South Carolina School of the Arts at Anderson University, took place on April 27, 2024, from 8 AM to 4:30 PM at Chiquola Studios in Downtown Anderson, SC. Created by the Class of 2025 graphic design cohort, the conference featured six speakers, three workshops, and six panelists. Its aim was to empower attendees to create change by highlighting the connection between design and community. The event provided a full day of inspiration, collaboration, and hands-on learning in a charming vintage hotel setting.

The conference's mission was to equip attendees with the knowledge and tools necessary to foster positive community change through design. By exploring design thinking and community-oriented change, participants learned to integrate these principles into a cohesive strategy for impactful societal transformation. Planned and designed in just 45 days, this inaugural Knot Conference showcased the power of design to drive community transformation and set a high standard for future events.
